Patsy's with Frank

I've never had lunch with Frank before. We had been planning a presentation for weeks and decided on lunch for the big day at a pizza parlor near the building where we were scheduled to present.

I was arriving from my doctors appointment so he ordered... And ended up paying! Was a nice time to get to know a colleague better.

Humpday Chia

More chia, more grapefruit. In preparation for a big day. Steering committee meeting 10-11am, doctor's appointment 11:15-12, lunch with a colleague 12:30-1:30, presentation 2-4pm, happy hour(s) with SB, dinner & bachelorette planning with Laura & Aimee at 6:30.

Excited for so much activity, fueled with super food!

In-Office Salad

It was smart that I brought salad fixing last week. I was able to eat another when I couldn't escape for lunch.

Same thing as last week... Spinach, mushrooms, onions, pecans, chopped turkey lunch meat, goat cheese, dressed with garlic hummus thinned out with lemon juice.

Grapefruit Pulp

It makes me happy to open the bowl of grapefruit pulp. It took too long to get that much, but adding it to my chia seed pudding is a treat worthwhile of tedium.

Celebratory Filipino Feast

I made a last minute decision to reach out to Christine and join her celebration of her new job in Queens for Filipino food!

Even though I do my best to limit meat consumption to once a day, I joined and loved every bite of meat!

We had food for an army (of course)!

The highlight for me was the halo halo, so cold outside why wouldn't we want ice cream and shaved ice for dessert?!

Fresh & Shanghai lumpia,
Sisig,
Tuna jaw,
Eggplant torta,
Pancit palabok,
Two noodle pancit,
Laing,
Lanka,
A ton of rice,
And tito's delight (aka the sampler)

Traditional Irish Food

Okay, not really. Totally Americanized "Irish" cuisine. But still a delicious tradition. I brought my crock potted meal to work for the 'lunch club'.

Corned beef, cabbage, potatoes, carrots, onions and mustard. So good.

Grapefruit and Vanilla Chia

Kicking off the week of boring breakfasts. Chia seed pudding with vanilla almond milk. And I spent some tv time in Sunday pulling the pulp out from the bitter membrane of the grapefruits.

Pan Fried, Mashed, & Roasted

Pan fried tilapia with dill, salt, pepper, olive oil & lemon juice. Cauliflower mash. Roasted Brussels sprouts.

Awesome dinner!

Salsa Scramble Tacos

I made salsa eggs, added some cheese and made it into tacos. My tortillas were too small to make a breakfast burrito, but the tacos turned out quite delicious!

Progressive Tapas

Jonathan and I started at a Chinese place to get soup dumplings and had quite a dumpling sampler. Then we met up with Christine for Spanish tapas and a few glasses of wine.

Savory & Sweet

I made one with garlic and herb Laughing Cow cheese... One with peanut butter and honey.

Spam Curry & Pie

Christoff made lunch today. Spam curry over rice with lots of veggies.

It was tasty, broccoli, corn, carrots, parsnips, zucchini, onions and spam in a mild Japanese curry.

After lunch we had Pi day pie at a diner, lemon meringue. Mmmm.

JalapeƱo & Cheddar

I was hungry and wanted something filling before my day of meetings, so I made a pit stop wishing and hoping... It came true, my favorite bagel was back at au bon pain. JalapeƱo cheddar is back!

Dinner, Wine, Dessert, Wine

Met Oli & Laura at 83 1/2.

The waiter was a train wreck. The food was decent, but not excellent.

We shared burrata and cream of artichoke soup for appetizers. I had the fish of the day... whole orata with thyme and lemon, a grilled tomato and scallions along side.

A bottle of wine with dinner, a change in venues and bottle of wine with dessert, pistachio ice cream for me!

Ashton's Alley

Trying something new... Scott wanted Stag's head, but I wanted to try something else.

I remembered Venus and Michele saying they frequented Ashton's Alley, so both Scotts and I went there.

Environment was tripping me out, food was decent but not great. I had Cajun chicken in a cilantro lime wrap, it came with a pickle and steak fries (Delish) and cole slaw (terrible).

We will likely go again, but not often...

Two Pink Ladies

Apples for breakfast. Organic pink ladies from Target, shared a few with the team during the team meeting.

Hot and Cold

Scott and I got ramen... I had spicy black ramen with pork and a poached egg. Then had dessert at Pinkberry... Grapefruit and vanilla with pineapple, crushed almond roca and coconut flakes.

Honey Nut Oatmeal

Steel cut oats, chopped walnuts and a drizzle of honey. Quick, delicious and filling.

Salad Concoction

I started with a few spoonfuls of roasted garlic hummus and the juice of a lemon, mixed it together as the dressing. Then filled the container with spinach, stirred to coat. I had chopped up an onion and sliced a container of mushrooms, added some of them to the spinach, added chopped roasted turkey lunch meat, chopped pecans and feta crumbles.

Moghrabieh

Dan and I walked up to Little Collins. I asked the server to suggest his favorite salad. He chose the Moghrabieh & cannellini bean salad. Israeli cous cous, mushrooms, feta, olives and parsley.

It was simple but tasty.

Tacos Camarones

Tacos and Target tonight... Shrimp tacos are the bomb at El Paso, plus split some chorizo nachos with Christine. Full day of Mexican food.

Chilaquiles, Coffee & Wine

Brunch was awesome. Chilaquiles, stories, and girly time. Some coffee. Then a few glasses of Pinot Grigio at a wine bar across the street.

Fun afternoon. I like that spring is nearly here.
