Woolf's Mexican Fiesta

David Woolf, my friend and coworker, turned 28 this week. I schlepped out to Brooklyn to join in on his birthday celebration which was a group of his friends and family eating a Mexican feast that he prepared.

Layer tip and jalapeƱo poppers started off the meal, photo fail. Then a creamy pumpkin and black bean soup with a chipotle kick. Followed by make your own taco with carnitas, chicken and mushrooms, mango salsa, guacamole and chipotle sour cream. Plus a poblano and zucchini lasagna. Dessert followed... Tees leches cake and flan.

Yummy. Thanks, #Davidwoolf (he told me to hashtag him in the post) for making th e trip to Brooklyn worth it's lengthy subway ride!
