Cottage Pie

I made a cottage pie [shepherds' pie, but beef instead of lamb]. I cooked the ground beef with a small onion, 3 cloves of garlic, a handful of baby carrots and the rest of the pack of cremini mushrooms leftover from brunch. I used the ricer for the mashed potatoes.

It turned out really well, I even added a bit of gruyere to the top so it browned up nicely under the broiler.

Served it along with some steamed broccoli, done simply with salt, pepper and a big squeeze of fresh lemon juice. Top notch meal!
