Not Cat...Pig Snout & Ears

I didn't eat anything all day, beyond a few bites to tastes garlic butter and apple salad for flavor.

Christine said she was craving halo halo, so I was down to get a good meals. We toured Woodside (aka Queens Philippines) looking for a restaurant that wasn't too crowded for Saturday night dinner. We landed at our 4th choice, but it was still delicious. I told a friend via text message that I was going to have Filipino food. He said, something about being too full of cat. I said, "My family is upper class, we don't eat cat...instead I'm having pig snout and ears! ;)"

That dish is called sisig, fried up on cast iron with a raw egg to be cooked table side. We also had Kare Kare, peanut butter oxtail stew and pinakbet, a mixed veggie dish, a standard helping of way too much rice and split a halo halo for dessert.

Top notch for the only meal today!
